Class Topics: 05.25.12

In EDM today, students continued working with Lesson 7-3: Analyze Units.  This continues to be a challenging lesson, but one that the students have been diligent with while working.

1. create an initial ratio to determine what is being compare in the problem.
2. develop a plan to simplify the problem.
3. convert different units using conversion factors.

In Pre-Algebra today, students completed their Chapter Ten Mid-Quiz.  Students then began a quick introduction to Lesson 10-4: Solving Multistep Inequalities.

1. combine like terms when working with inequalities.
2. identify and use numbers LCM (Least Common Multiples) to eliminate fractions in an inequality.  
3. use properties to isolate and solve for variables.
4. graph the solution on a number line for an inequality.
