Class Topics: 12.05.11

In EDM, students were introduced to the fraction multiplication algorithm.  We began to learn how to justify that one-half * one-third does equal one-sixth using graphing paper and crayons.
  • In Class:
    • Students - 
      • modeled how to multiply fractions using the multiplication algorithm as a general pattern.
      • completed MJ140 as a class.
      • collaborated with a peer to complete MJ141.

In Pre-Algebra, students completed their Chapter Four Summative Assessment that was begun on Friday.

      • completed Chapter Four Summative Assessment.
      • discussed challenges on the assessment.
  • HW:
    • Work on Khan Academy
    • Use Websites posted last Friday to help prepare for Tuesday's Chapter Five Pretest
