Class Topics: 10.25.11

In EDM today, the students evaluated various mathematical formulas.  The goal of this lesson was for students to get accustomed to substituting different values for multiple variables and then to calculate an end answer using the appropriate formula.
These should be written down in your guided notes.

Examples:
P= b + h + b + h
P = 2b + 2h
A = 1/2(b * h) = 2 * 3.14 * r

Here are some different formulas
that I am confident you could use.

In Pre-Algebra today, the students applied their skill set of working with rational numbers, fractions and decimals, and utilized it to solve equations.  This skill takes knowledge gained from Chapter One and applies it to skills the students are learning in Chapter Three.  There will be a quiz on lessons 3.1 through 3.7 on Friday.
