It is apparent that some of us are struggling because we are still unsure of our multiplication facts. Rather than reporting remainders this year, as has been done in the past, we are taking all of our answers, when applicable, out to the hundredth place. This gives us additional practice with division.

In Pre-Algebra today, we revisited our work with exponents from yesterday by adding a new twist. Rather than just identifying the base and exponent, we multiplied powers with the same base. We also began dividing powers with the same base. Through our exploration of the lesson, we realized that multiplying the powers with the same base is accomplished by addition and that dividing powers with the same base is completed through subtraction.
