Class Topics: 09.27.11

In EDM, we reviewed how to calculate the product when multiplying decimals.  It is important to remember that when multiplying decimals, we DO NOT need to line the decimals up like we do in addition and subtraction.
In Pre-Algebra, we introduced integers into our algebraic inequalities.  This can cause difficulty especially when the inequality needs reversed because you are dividing or multiplying by a negative integer when isolating the variable.

  1. This is a great video, thanks! I will certainly use this when we, as a class, get to this skill. It's always interesting to see small differences in algorithms. For example, I've never noted the decimals by number on the right-hand side. Cool!
