Today in Math 6 - 1 & 3°, students began to prepare for next week's Concept Two: Integers and Rational Numbers posttest.
During Math 6 - 2°, students were introduced to Lesson 2.6: Write Inequalities. Mr. Giomini began the lesson by talking about different inequality symbols and answer sets. Students then worked with writing their own inequalities given a certain scenario.
Students in Math 6+ continued to use class time to prepare for Monday's Concept Two: Integers and Rational Numbers posttest.
Today's Learning Target(s): The student will be able to...
- reason about and solve one-variable equations and inequalities. (2°)
- solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x + p = q and px = q for cases in which p, q and x are all nonnegative rational numbers. (2°)
- understand ordering and absolute value of rational numbers. (1, 3, & 7°)
- fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers using the standard algorithm for each operation. (all classes)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to complete:
- Math 6 - 1 & 3: Begin to prepare for next week's posttest
- Math 6 - 2°: Page 117 in enVision wkbk
- Math 6+: Begin to prepare for next week's posttest
- All Classes: m > 10 minutes meaningful practice at Khan Academy
