Students continued their work with calculating the area for different three-dimensional shapes, polyhedra. The focus today was deconstructing the shape into a net and calculating the area for each individual face to determine the overall surface area of the shape.
Calculate the area for the cube. |
- represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles.
- use the nets to find the surface area of these figures.
- find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths.
- 15 minutes of meaningful practice on Khan Academy.
