Class Topics: 03.11.15

In Math Six, students continued their work in Part Seven - Area in Geometry.  Class reviewed using the coordinate plane to calculate area of different polygons.

Students practiced skills in a test-taking situation to help prepare for next week's post test.   Once time expired, Mr. Giomini put them into groups of three to four to compare and discuss answers. Correct answers were shared at the conclusion of class.

1. find the area of polygons and other special quadrilaterals. 
2. draw polygons in the coordinate plane given coordinates for the vertices.  
3. use coordinates to find the length of a side.
