Class Topics: 10.09.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students checked their Evening Practice with an answer key provided my Mr. Giomini.  To help with assessment preparation for Friday's quiz, students worked in small groups to complete review questions dealing with Chapter Three concepts as well as skills from previous chapters.

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...

• use coordinates to find the length of a line segment.
• draw polygons in the coordinate plane given coordinates.
• understand the absolute value of a rational number as its distance from 0 on the number line.
• interpret absolute value as magnitude for a positive or negative quantity in a real word situation.
• write and evaluate numerical expressions involving whole-number exponents.
• find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100.
• find the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12.
