Class Topics for 08.21.14

During Common Core Math Six today, Mr. Giomini introduced Lesson 1.1: Populations and Samples. This lesson helped students learn to identify populations and samples.  Students also worked with how to recognize statistical questions such as: How old am I? or How old are the students in my school?

• identify populations and samples when given a scenario.
• recognize a statistical question as one that anticipates variability in the data related to the question and accounts for it in the answers.
