View the video that is embedded below and tell me what strategies you can implement that will benefit you the next time we take a Unit Summative Assessment.
There are many ways to study for math test. One is to ask your math teacher for help on a question that you have problems with. Another great habit to get used to is to redo the question with out seeing the answer and then check your work. If you study you will get better results on your test.
Strategies I can imply that will help me the next time I take a Unit Summative Assessment are, I should only study about 5 to 10 minutes a day rather than cramming everything into the course of one night. Also I should focus on the things I missed, or did not understand from the pre-test.
I think that number 1 and number 7 are the most helpful to me and the ones that I would probably want to use the most. They are usually the ones that I use the least, too. 1. is helpful because there is no point of studying the questions that you already know! And number 7 is helpful because if you try to just memorize the answers while looking at them, you don't learn from your mistakes. I have found these two tips extremely helpful.
Dear Mr. Giomini, I think that looking at the answers that I missed and practicing them would help me the most. This would help me most because I would look at the answers I missed, practice them and then on the BIG test I would know how to figure them out and get the correct answers.
i think number 7 will help me be a better studyer. i think that one is the best way of studying because it true you cant just re-read the quetion and try to memorize it it wont help you because the quetions can be diforent. so i think i will do better in the long run.
What I think will benefit me is if i study my pre-test's and study a little every day instead of cramming. Also I think I should ask for help/questions more often.
I think that number 7 is the best study skill. I say that because you can't try and memorizie the question the teacher will 9 times out of 10 will change the questoin on the retake. I think you should just study as hard as you can and look at the links on the blog.
I think that next time i will use number 6 because mr giomini always has studt links and i think that that is helpful and i will also study on the problems i know and also use stuff that i remeber mr gio telling us (like when i am taking the test).......these are very helpful!!!!! Thanks Stewy
I think this is a very helpful video I wrote down Mr. Hartwell's notes so I would always Know how to study this video is extremely helpful especially to me I didn't know what to study but know I do so I will keep these notes for a long time!
Mr. Hartwel was right. I should do actual problems to help me study. I should read and reread over my notes and look at the mistakes I made on my pre- test. I should also go on to the blog and study off of there. And if I take my time on the test I will probably do better.
I think that working on practice examples each night would help me alot.I think this because if you dont know an answer it would help you by practicing every night and then for the test you would know it. I also thimk the going on the blog/website would he you because your teacher could put stuff up that would help you study. The Mr.Hartwell vidoe was very helpful and I hope to use at lease two of these examples every night. -Fazzone
Strategies i can impliment are going on the blog and looking at some of the links. I could also ask you about any questions that i am not sure about. Another thing i could do is do problems that i have already answered and check if i did them right. Senior Anderson ( JACOB )
The next time I take a Summative Assessment I will study on both my pre-test AND all the unit's papers. Sorry if I don't get a good grade on something, please don't burn my house down, thank you. -Mad Jack
When I take tests some strategies I can use is going over the questions I didn't get before I turn in my test. I will also underline the portent details that I need to answer the questions. Also before I turn in my test I will go over every question that I answered and do the math over before I turn it in.
I think that all of these are very helpful to me especially going on the blog and studying each night. I think there are many good ways to study on the blog and some of them are fun. Also, studying a little each night helps me alot too. Guz
To help me study you could ask your math teacher for help if you have problems. You can also study every day after school and go to the blog for links to help you study.
Now that I watched that video i will look over the question I missed on the pre- test. I will also go on the blog and to the unit reviews. Thanks for posting the video!
I think that number 1 and 7 are the most helpful to me because number 1 is to focus on the questions that I missed on the pre-test. That benefits me because then I look back on the missed questions and I think of it as a study guide. Number 7 helps me because now I wont just read the question I will figure out the answer. -Bow Wow
I think just plain practicing at night for 5-10 minutes would help a lot plus I should even go over past units to help me in the unit I'm in and future units.
The strategies i ggot from this is study 5 to 10 minutes each night before the test, use your guided notes and journal to study with, and focus on the pre-test questions i missed
now i will study five to ten minutes a day to do the things i got wrong on the pre-test. i could also use my units notes and other math pagers that go with that unit. thanks mr.hartwel.
Some strategies I can use on the next summative assessment are looking over and practicing problems I missed on the pretest. I could also practice problems by doing things similar to what is on the pretest. -Samantha Cole
I think that asking my teacher for help with the test and going over the ones I missed on the pretest would have eloped me a lot and probably would have missed 3 question. Emma VDB
Brett, I think that if I were to study more and to foucs on the questions I missed I would of goten that extra 14 percent I wanted
ReplyDeleteI could go on the blog and find links to study for upcoming tests or quizzes
