Day 126: Area of Irregular Polygons
Students in Math 6 and Math 6+ worked in small groups to determine the area of irregular polygons that were constructed on grid paper. This activity allowed students to use formulas that they had previous experience with or develop new ones. Answers and proofs were shared out with the class in an attempt to gain different views on how to work with area and irregular polygons.
