Day 113: Topic Six Midpoint

Students in Math 6 completed their Topic Six Midpoint Quiz today in class. Once the assessment was collected, Mr. Giomini introduced Lesson 6.4: Estimate to Find Percent. The intentions for this lesson are for students to continue to develop good number sense as they use equivalent fractions, rounding, and compatible numbers to estimate the percent of a number.

Math 6+ students discussed last night's evening practice with percent change. Class then worked with estimating with percents. The goal was to learn how to use compatible numbers when working with fractions and percents allowing us to work more efficiently with percents.
