Day 110: % Greater > 100 and < that 1 / Finding a Number When Given a %

In Math 6, students were introduced to percents greater than 100 and less than 1. Students used models such as number lines and hundredths grids to develop an understanding of percents greater than 100 or less than 1.



Math 6+ students continued their work with percents. Today's focus was on finding a number when a percent is given. We solved these using proportions and equations in an attempt to develop multiple approaches when working with this skill. Students were allowed to use calculators as well to help with time management.
