Day One: Welcome to Class

Today, Mr. Giomini introduced himself to the students and discussed the journey they would make together for approximately the next nine months. The focus today was on getting to know one another, class procedures and how to work productively with colleagues.

Students collaborated together to play a game called Make 4. In this game, you have to use the number 4 four times to create the answers of 1 - 20. Any mathematical operation is allowed and you can even create a fraction with the number four or us the square root of four to help you out. It is definitely going to shake the summer rust off the mind.
