Day 116: Surface Area of Pyramids

Students in Math 6 and 6+ worked with calculating the surface area of pyramids. Mr. Giomini did review work with calculating the surface area of rectangular and triangular prisms as well.

Note: The Geometry Post-test is on Thursday, March 8th.

Skills that were introduced, modeled, practiced, and informally/formally assessed today in class include:
Math 6 and Math 6+:
  • Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles.
  • Use the nets to find the surface area of these figures.
  • Apply these techniques in the context of solving real world and mathematical problems.
