Math 6+ students continued working with solving two-step equations. We stretched our understanding today to include writing equations for scenarios similar to the examples listed below. This is a challenging skill; one that we'll devote a good deal of class time to over the next two days.
Standards addressed in today's lessons:
- Math 6:
- Write and evaluate numerical expressions involving whole-number exponents.
- Math 6+:
- Use variables to represent quantities in a real-world or mathematical problem, and construct simple equations and inequalities to solve problems by reasoning about the quantities. (7th)
