Day 62: Relate Tables, Graphs, and Equations
Students in Math 6 and Math 6+ worked with Lesson 4.10: Relate Tables, Graphs, and Equations. During this concept, students are given a table of information where an independent and dependent variable are presented and asked to graph the data on a coordinate plane. From there, they need to look for a relationship that exists between the two variables.
Eventually, students develop an understanding of linear relationships by analyzing them using multiple representations.
Lesson Objectives: The student will be able to...
use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another.
write equations to represent the relationships between variables.
analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs, tables, and relate them to the equation.
