Day 153: Jeopardy / Challenge Day

Today in 1 and 3°, students played Jeopardy to serve as a review for previously learned skills.

In Math 6 during 2°, students completed a teacher evaluation form on Mr. Giomini's professional responsibilities and skill-set.  They then played Jeopardy dealing with equations and expressions.

During Math 6+, students quickly reviewed finding the volume and surface area of a few shapes.  Mr. Giomini then broke the students into triads for a Challenge Day activity.

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...
  • read, write, and evaluate expressions in which letters stand for numbers. (1, 2, and 3°)
  • identify parts of an expression using mathematical terms. (1, 2, and 3°)
  • solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume, and surface area of two-and three-dimensional objects, - 7th grade (7°)
  • know the formulas for the volumes of cones, cylinders, and spheres and use them to solve real-world and mathematical problems. - 8th grade (7°)
For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...
  • 1 and 3° -
    • Rest up for tomorrow's AIR Test.
    • Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
  • 2° -
    • Rest up for tomorrow's AIR Test.
    • Have 100% of 6th Grade Khan Skills mastered by May 27th.
    • 7° -
