Today in Math 6, students in 1° and 3° completed a quiz dealing with order of operations and exponents. Once the assessment was completed, students began work on Khan Academy reading, writing, and evaluating algebraic expressions. Given values were substituted in for variables to evaluate algebraic expressions.
During Math 6 - 2°, students continued their work with algebraic expressions. Students were given either an algebraic expression or word phrase and had to find the classmate that had the match to what they were holding. Mr. Giomini then allowed students to begin on their evening practice in class.
Math 6+ students worked with translating word phrases into algebraic expressions.
