Class Topics: 05.21.19

In Math Six today, students were separated into two groups to work on two different tasks.  Some students worked with defining a function for a sequence of real numbers.  Others worked with writing and solving equations from story problems.

                             

Today's Learning Targets: The student will be able to...

1. solve multistep real-life and mathematical problems posed with positive and negative rational numbers in any form.
2. use variables to represent quantities in a real-world or mathematical problem.
3. construct simple equations and inequalities to solve problems by reasoning about the quantities.
4. analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation.

For Evening Practice, the student is expected to...

1. 15 minutes of meaningful practice on Khan Academy dealing with either 6th or 7th grade content.
