Class Topics: 05.15.15

In Math Six today, Mr. Giomini had a Quick Check on the board that asked students to solve and graph a linear inequality.  Students were put into a testing situation where they had to complete three multistep equations and inequalities.  Work was then modeled at the board by student to help with test preparation.

  1. understand solving an equation or inequality as a process of answering a question: which values from a specified set, if any, make the equation or inequality true?
  2. use substitution to determine whether a solution makes an equation or inequality true.
