Class Topics: 04.08.14

In Common Core Math Six today, students in 13, and 4° reviewed last night's Google Form.  Mr. Giomini then modeled and practiced Lesson 11.1: Solving Two-Step Equations.  During this lesson, Mr. Giomini stressed the importance of showing steps when working through an equation.  Story problems were discussed to help with writing two-step equations.   

A new one-year membership at Pipes Workout Factory costs $630.  A registration fee
of $150 is paid up front, and the rest is paid monthly.  How much
do new members pay each month?  Write an equation and solve.


During , students reviewed Monday's Evening Practice from Lesson 8.4.  Mr. Giomini split the class up into small groups to work on review problems in preparation for tomorrow's Chapter Eight Posttest.
